How do I sign up for
Gridwise Gas?

Download Gridwise. Launch the app and create a Gridwise account.

Go to the Marketplace tab.
Go to the Benefits section.
Select “Gridwise Gas” to sign up.

In the Benefits section of the Marketplace tab in the Gridwise app, subscribe to Gridwise Plus to receive a guaranteed 50¢ off per gallon.

Activate your gas card when it arrives. GasBuddy will send your gas card and you should receive it within 1-2 weeks after signing up.

Use it at the gas station as you would a debit card and automatically receive up to 50¢ per gallon off your gas purchase. You may be charged for your purchase 3-5 days later, which is when the discount will be applied.

I activated my Gridwise Gas card. Now how do I use it?
When you’re ready to fill up, simply check the GasBuddy app for a station discount, and activate the Deal Alert before filling up for automatic savings. Keep an eye out for additional seasonal and station-specific promotions throughout the year to save even more.
How does Gridwise Gas save me money?
With Gridwise Plus, you are guaranteed 50¢ off per gallon on up to 100 gallons per month for a total of $50 per month. Without Gridwise Plus, you are guaranteed 2¢ off per gallon. You can also save even more with station-specific discounts and promotions available in the GasBuddy app.
How much does Gridwise Gas cost to join?
While Gridwise Gas is free to join, you will want to subscribe to Gridwise Plus to maximize your savings. Gridwise Plus costs $9.99 per month, or $71.99 per year.
Is my personal information secure with Gridwise Gas?
Absolutely – because we’re serious about security. We use multi-level security mechanisms, including dedicated firewalls and VPN services. Data is transmitted securely through Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.2. Information is stored using end-to-end encryption and is managed using strict data access policies and controls. In addition, we use an encrypted token system, which does not store your bank login credentials on our system. By linking your checking account to the Gridwise Gas program, we avoid credit card interchange fees and pass those savings along to you.
Is a credit score required to apply for Gridwise Gas?
No credit check or credit card application is required to enroll in the Gridwise Gas program.
Is the Gridwise Gas card prepaid?
No. The card works like a debit card and uses funds from your linked bank account to pay for the fuel purchase – minus your discount.
