Cellular service companies can make you feel like you’re being held captive. As drivers, there’s no way you can do without phone service, but you’re paying a lot of money just to stay connected. If you’ve been wishing some sharp, forward-thinking company would come to your rescue, your wish has come true.

Google is the cutting edge, so when the company came out with a new kind of phone plan, we knew you’d want to know more about it. In this post, we’ll talk about …

  • What drivers get
  • What drivers like most about Google Fi
  • A special discount, exclusively for Gridwise users!

What drivers get

In terms of Google Fi’s service, you’ll be pleased to see how extensive and flexible it can be. Plans are filled with fantastic features, such as:

  • Unlimited calling and texting
  • Flexible pricing: Pay for the data you use, and nothing else
  • Wi-Fi calling and texting
  • International coverage
  • “Capped” data charges
  • Built-in VPN
  • Spam filter and call blocking
  • Family-friendly filtering
  • SIM card swap protection

Google Fi offers unlimited calling and texting on all plans; with various plans for multiple lines, unlimited, and flexible data options..

With Wi-Fi calling and texting built into the Fi network, you can call and text over the internet no matter where you may be. If you happen to be traveling out of the country and are not connected to Wi-Fi, you can get international phone coverage to check on things back home. With most plans, texting will still be free and international phone calls are only 20 cents per minute.

Google Fi also allows parents to restrict their children’s phone and text use by letting them only connect with people the parents know of and approve.

What drivers like most about Google-Fi

Drivers are always looking for deals, and Google Fi is the best one we’ve seen for phone plans—but that’s not all. This deal comes with a whole array of great features for drivers.

Here are a few:

  • Flexible plans
  • Compatible with most phones
  • Easy to connect
  • Incredible prices
  • Superior customer care

We think there are many, many reasons why you should consider switching to Google Fi, but the best reason may be its flexibility. You can sign up for a month, renew every month, or skip a month and try it again, and you won’t get stuck with a long-term commitment. But we’re pretty sure that once you switch to Fi, you’ll want to stay with it for a very long time.

When Google first launched this project several years ago, the network was available only to owners of certain Google Pixel phones. Now, the list of compatible devices has expanded considerably. Check Google Fi’s compatibility page to see if your phone, or one you have in mind, will work on Google Fi. You can even get deals on all the newest phones when you buy one through Fi. Check out their new subscription for the Pixel 4a and you’ll see what we mean.

You won’t have to stand in a store (or hang around at home) for hours waiting for the network to recognize your phone and get it online. With Fi, you can sign up from home, or even from your car, and there is no activation fee. All you do is open the app, choose what plan you want for the month, and go.

Now, about those deals. Design your own plan for you alone, you and your partner, or the whole family. Let’s break it down with a few examples:

A single plan with unlimited talk and data is $20, and each GB of data is $10.

A single unlimited plan (including 22 GB of data), normally $70 per month for a single line, is currently 50% off for the first three months!. With the unlimited plan, you get 100GB of cloud storage, free data, and  international roaming included.

For your first three months, two people on the unlimited plan is and $30 per person. Three members in your group? That’s just $25 each during the promotional period!

It’s difficult to find a deal that beats what you can get with Google Fi, and that’s why we knew you’d like it. Do you have more questions? This link gives you a comprehensive guide to the topics we mentioned here, and brings up others that might come to mind after you sign up.
